A Message from the Pastor

Pastor Dee

Dear Ones,

Ecclesiastes that follows Psalms and then Proverbs in the Old Testament was written about 300 B.C. The book provokes thinking about several aspects of life: wisdom, toil, joy, etc. And of course all are found wanting. Be encouraged to read the twelve short powerful chapters that fit most of our lives. The work of God is sheer mystery for us humans. The need for reverence of God must be held fast, we are told. The book preserves divine mystery.

The first nine verses especially of chapter 3 tell it all. Take a look and handpick the verses that apply to you immediately. Tomorrow, or the next day, you will select other verses.

For me today, I have chosen these pieces of the whole:

“…a time to build up...a time to laugh...a time to dance…a time to embrace...a time to keep silence...a time to love...and a time for peace.”

These holy feelings that I share with you are ways to say thank you to you and for you, Christ the King. You are God’s wonderful people.
