A Message from the Pastor
Dear Ones,
I opened my sermon last Sunday like this: Over here on this side of the pond it's Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial beginning of summer. And so it is. Summer is almost upon us and so we can now officially wear white.
Blessings to you during this more carefree time in your life, when school is mostly finished, when regular meetings and activities have lessened due to summertime.
Take advantage of this respite time. It takes 20-some times to develop a habit. Let your new habit be one of “Prayer.” Discipline yourself to pray. From Luke 6:12 “…he went out to the mountain to pray; and he spent the night in prayer to God.” Try it. You might like the privilege of praying. Jesus modeled for you.
There’s nothing fancy about praying. Your thoughts are often prayerful. Your mouth might not move. You might be at your desk or in your garden or with your school friends. Consider prayer. It’s easy. And God wants to hear from you, to know you care, for you to recognize God is over all; God is your creator. If you don’t pray, it’s like not calling your mother or father, or inviting them to a meal, to your party, to your school event. You miss out and God misses out in a big way.

“…a time to keep silence, and a time to speak:” Eccl. 3:7.
I pray God’s peace be upon you.
