Sunday at Christ the King

Worship is joyous praise and honor given to God with thanksgiving, and the heart of our life together as believers. We believe worship is the natural response to God’s creative love and amazing grace given in Jesus Christ. The worship we offer is varied, rich in tradition yet contemporary and relevant, and filled with joy and wonder. (Psalm 95:6; Luke 24:52-53)

8:00 AM WORSHIP SERVICE

This service is traditional in nature, with a small, close-knit community gathering each week. We celebrate Holy Communion each Sunday. We welcome you to gather in the Fellowship Hall for fellowship, a cup of coffee and goodies. We invite you to stay and join in the Discipleship Hour learning classes at 10:00 a.m.

9:00 AM WORSHIP SERVICE

This service led by our Contemporary Praise Band – SonLight – who bring energy and meaning to worship. Using many popular contemporary Christian songs, we sing our praise and thanksgiving to God and reflect on the message of God’s Holy Word through song and music. We celebrate Holy Communion each week and follow the observances of the church year. This worship gathering draws a wide variety of ages – from young families to singles to our seniors.

10:00 AM DISCIPLESHIP HOUR & FELLOWSHIP

This hour is dedicated to Sunday School for the children, and study classes for the youth and adults. These classes are held in the classrooms in the Education Building on the other side of the Fellowship Hall. (See CTK Floorplan)

There is always coffee and goodies offered by the Hospitality Ministry in the Fellowship Hall if you want to spend this time catching up with friends and getting to know new members. Many times there are special congregational meetings and receptions held during this time. Scrip gift cards are available for purchase during this time at the Scrip table in the Fellowship Hall.

11:00 AM WORSHIP SERVICE

This is a traditional liturgical worship service using the ELW hymnal, singing primarily traditional hymns and enjoying the musical leadership of our organ and adult Chancel Choir. With Holy Communion each week, this worship gathering also draws a wide variety of ages – from young families to singles to our seniors.

Holy Communion
Holy Communion, offered at all worship services, is open to all baptized Christians, regardless of your denominational background.  Children and unbaptized adults who have not received instruction in Holy Communion may come forward to receive a blessing.

Hours: 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Sunday. The Nursery is the first room in the Education Building on the other side of the Fellowship Hall. (See CTK Floorplan)
