We love children at Christ the King!
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
IN THE SANCTUARY
Worship is for all ages, and we love children at Christ the King! Children of all ages are always encouraged to worship the Lord with their families. All children (and moms and dads) are welcome to come forward for the Children’s Message at our Sunday services.
At the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services Children’s Church is offered the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of the month in Cuthbertson Fellowship Hall during the sermon time where the Gospel lesson is taught to them at their level of understanding. (Parents are welcome to check this out too!) Children return to their families in the sanctuary before Communion. This ministry is designed for ages Pre-School – Grade 3.
We have a staffed nursery for children ages 0-3 in the front end of the Educational Bldg. Your children are always welcome to remain with you for worship or with our attendant in the nursery. The nursery is available during Sunday worship and the Discipleship Hour times.
Weekly Sunday School is the heart of Christian education for children of all ages at Christ the King. For children age 2-4 and K5 through 5th grade, Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. with a large gathering complete with songs, offering and prayer. Children then go to their specific classes for age-appropriate Bible study.
Teachers and Volunteers
Teachers and volunteers are always needed and welcomed in this growing ministry. Please contact Debbie Scarazzo if you would like to help!
