UPCOMING EVENTS

God’s work. Our hands.
Sunday, September 13 | 9:30 a.m. | Fellowship Hall
Sunday, September 13 is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. Since 2013, thousands of ELCA congregations have participated in this opportunity and dedicated one day to serve communities in ways that share the love of God with all people.
This year Christ the King will once again provide snack bags to the first responders in our community. Last year with the help of many in the congregation, we were able to provide snack bags to many of our fire stations and sheriff precincts in the county.
Christ the King will be collecting individually wrapped snacks to make up “snack bags” to take to the various first responders in our community. Ideas for snacks are:
- single serving chips
- power bars
- fruit chews
- Single serving cookies
- anything else that is sealed and considered a snack
On September 13, from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m., we will gather in the fellowship hall to make snack bags to take to our first responders.
Are you able to help drive to the various departments to deliver the snacks? Help with card making, coloring and writing of cards? Any and all help will be most appreciated! Please email Deborah Scarazzo at debbie@ctklutheran.com.
“God’s work. Our hands.” Together we can reach out to those beyond the walls of Christ the King to show the love of Christ among us.
