SERVE ON SUNDAYS
There are a multitude of areas you can serve in on Sunday mornings at Christ the King!
“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.” Romans 12:4-6
Music Ensembles
Christ the King has a rich music heritage with talented leaders and many dedicated singers and musicians that greatly enrich our worship experience.

Worship Volunteers
We are very blessed to have many members who give of their time and talents to Christ’s church on a weekly and monthly basis as office and worship service volunteers. Many of our volunteers speak to how rewarding it is to serve and how their volunteer work makes them feel like a contributing member to our CTK family.
There are many opportunities to serve:
USHER
Serve every month or two as an usher at either of the Sunday morning worship services. Responsibilities include: being a welcoming presence, hand out service bulletins, help worshipers find a seat, and direct and assist worshipers during Holy Communion.
LAY ASSISTANT
Serve as a worship assistant to the pastor at either service. The Lay Assistant reads specific portions of the worship service as a “representative” of the congregation. The Lay Assistant may also assist in the distribution of Holy Communion.
LESSON READER
Serve every few months as the Sunday service reader of the scripture lessons.
HOLY COMMUNION SERVER ASSISTANT
Periodically serve as an assistant to the pastor with the distribution of Holy Communion.
SUNDAY BULLETIN ASSEMBLY
Print, collate and assemble the Sunday service bulletins, along with any special service bulletins throughout the year.
HOME BOUND MINISTRY MAILINGS

Offering a warm welcome to visitors and members alike is the responsibility of everyone at Christ the King. These areas are where outgoing, enthusiastic personalities can serve as the welcoming face of Christ on Sunday mornings.

Serve as a greeter to warmly and genuinely greet all who come to worship. It is also the responsibility of the greeter to recognize visitors and show them to the Welcome Desk.
WELCOME DESK AMBASSADOR
Serve as a welcoming ambassador of Christ the King to Sunday morning visitors. Introduce them to the Pastor and others, and provide them with a Welcome Folder that shares information about the congregation at Christ the King. If asked, personally direct visitors to designated areas of the church and answer questions.
