Adult Christian Study Groups
Along with attending and participating in these various study classes there is always opportunities for teachers and leaders. Contact the Debbie Scarazzo, Christian Education Coordinator, if you are interested in serving. Please refer to the church weekly newsletter “THE VOICE” (link in the website footer) for current class and group discussion topics, along with any date, time or location updates.
SUNDAY DISCIPLESHIP HOUR STUDY CLASS
Sunday mornings, during the 9:45 a.m. Discipleship Hour, there is an Adult study group that meets in the Adult Study classroom at the far end of the Education Building. Study topics will change every 4-6 weeks.
W.O.W – Women of the Word
All women of CTK are invited to attend our new women’s group – Women of the Word. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 12:30 p.m. in the Music room. The focus of this group will be more casual conversation, not a formal Bible study. Please bring your own lunch and beverage. For more information, please contact Melissa Loggins or Susan Papesh.
TUESDAY CHRISTIANS IN ACTION
Christians In Action (C.I.A.) invites you to join the group at 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday in the church Music Room to learn about the Bible, each other, and have fun doing it! Each week they discuss the upcoming Sunday Scripture lessons.
BIBLE, BREWS & BOYS
This informal men’s group meets twice a month with Pastor Finley to study various topics and books. The group meets at 11:30 a.m. at various restaurants for lunch and discussion throughout the year on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. All men welcome!
WORD, WINE & WOMEN
This informal women’s study group is led by Pastor Finley. The group studies various topics and books and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. in the church Music room. All women welcome!
Youth & Children’s Bible Study Groups
There are always serving opportunities for adult teachers, helpers and mentors in all our youth and children groups.

7th – 12th GRADE CONFIRMATION CLASS
Students (7th – 12th Grade) meet during the 9:45 a.m. Discipleship Hour through the months of the school year to study topics concerning their faith in the Lutheran church.
4th – 6th GRADE PRE-CONFIRMATION CLASS
Students (4th – 6th Grade) meet during the 9:45 a.m. Discipleship Hour through the months of the school year to study the Ten Commandments, the Creeds, the Sacraments and Luther’s Catechism in preparation for the confirmation of their faith in the Lutheran church.
K5 – 3rd GRADE YOUNG ELEMENTARY SUNDAY SCHOOL
For children age K through 3rd grade, Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. during the school year. Children go to their specific classes for age-appropriate Bible story lessons from the Old and New Testament. Each class opens with song and prayer.
PRESCHOOL BIBLE STORIES AND PLAY
For children ages 3-4, Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. during the school year. Children learn age-appropriate Bible story lessons.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Every year at the beginning of summer Christ the King holds a week-long celebration of learning and fun at our Vacation Bible School. Each year incorporates a new theme so all who participate have fresh lessons, songs and activities.
Church Library
Christ the King Lutheran Church Library, located across the hall from the Church Office, exists to support the Christian Education mission of the congregation and to provide resources for personal spiritual growth. Over 1,000 books are held in the collection and may be borrowed for two-week periods any time. The library is open during Sunday morning worship and fellowship hours, and during normal church office hours.
Volunteers are needed to perform various duties such as processing new additions, re-shelving borrowed books and keeping books in order.
